Free Train Travel On Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway ForCaravan Show

Britain's brightest, best and most modern caravans will again be on show on Saturday 8th June to Sunday 16th June 2019 in Skegness Water Leisure Park's Caravan Show, and after the success of previous events, FREE train rides are being offered on the historic Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway, in the Park, on Saturday 15th June 2019 (only).

It's a unique opportunity to see the future of holidays in the Park, with the latest models on sale.

Both the award-winning Park and the Railway continue to develop following the visit in 2017 by HRH The Princess Royal. The Park has won multiple David Bellamy Gold Awards for its wildlife conservation. The Railway has largely been rebuilt over its closed season, with the track relaid and restoration work on the steam locomotive Jurassic and some of the heritage diesels.

The Park opened in 1990 and has 185 acres offering space for static caravans, glamping in luxury Pods and S-Pods, facilities for touring caravans, camper vans and for tents, which makes it one of the biggest and best appointed on the Lincolnshire coast. Facilities include The Barn Inn, Coffee Shop, children's play area, General Store, three fully stocked fishing lakes and modern toilets and shower blocks; all just a few minutes from the beaches at Skegness and Ingoldmells and all the attractions of Lincolnshire's holiday coast.

The Caravan Show will start at 10.00 a.m. and finish at 6.00 p.m. on all show days, featuring the latest models of caravans from the major holiday home manufacturers, such as Willerby, Swift, ABI and Europa. There will also be new and used touring caravans and motorhomes supplied by Pioneer Caravans, as well as verandas, sheds, blinds and soft furnishings on display. There will be weekend entertainment in The Barn Inn, with live acts.

There will be special discounted Holiday Home prices, only available during the Show Week, as well as a special introductory finance rate of 7.6% APR Finance with Black Horse Finance (normally 10.6%). Have a spin on the “Wheel of Fortune” for the chance to win an array of holiday home related prizes.

Visitors to the Caravan Show will be able to find out about “South Fields” - 189 new fully-serviced static holiday home plots on a prestigious development. The development will include a sports leisure facility, a gym, bubble tennis court, children's play area, football ground and a brand new, fully-stocked fishing lake.

They can also discover “Waterford Holiday Park” - a further new development where the first phase of plots has just been released in the heart of Ingoldmells village. This prestigious new Park is the first of its kind in the Ellis Bros. Contractors Ltd group of leisure businesses, as it is the first rental Park they have operated. Site facilities will include a reception area, coffee shop, fishing lake and sales ground.

Meanwhile, on Saturday 15th June, there will be free rides from 11.00 to approximately 3.30 pm on the LCLR's historic trains, which date back more than a century to the trench railways of World War One's battlefields.

The Caravan Show is the perfect opportunity for the LCLR to demonstrate its historic equipment under operating conditions and to show its unique collection to visitors to the Park – both those who regularly enjoy its facilities and those sampling them for the first time at the Caravan Show. Services will be operated by one of the Railway's historic “Simplex” diesel locomotives.

Spokesman John Chappell said: “This is the perfect chance to choose the latest and best models of caravans, in what is one of the best appointed sites on the East Coast. It's also the perfect chance to sample some 'time travel', with a ride on the light railway, free of charge on Saturday 15th June.”
