Did you know? The Courthouse Skegness....

Did you know will be a series of blogs based on historical buildings and areas in and around the Lincolnshire Coast..

Starting off with The Courthouse in Skegness!!

The Courthouse is now the home of great food, drinks, as well as venues for private functions in the centre of Skegness. However from being built in 1883, the building which was originally named Minerva Court, it had been a courthouse, police station, registration office and tearooms.

Although the venue has multiple purposes (including offices) what is fascinating is the tribute to the buildings past. The owner, Gary Bangham has included unique and historical furniture, as well as a jail cell (which you can have a tour of).
