Huttoft beach, or Moggs Eye beach, is a peaceful and quiet sandy beach located in Alford. With distant views of the coast reaching towards an offshore windfarm and backed by grassy sand dunes, this beach makes for stunning views and is popular with walkers and cyclists thanks to the serene atmosphere.
If you'd like to take a dip in the sea, keep in mind there is no lifeguard service operating at Huttoft beach. If you do decide to enter the water, be sure to adhere to the best safety practices and read our guide to beach safety.
Huttoft beach’s on-site car park is also a great location for stargazing, as approved by Go Stargazing, thanks to the areas low light pollution, proximity to local towns, and of course, convenient parking.
This stunning stretch of coast is also home to The Vista at the Boatshed, a café and visitor centre boasting a roof terrace seating area with a lovely view of the sea. It is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink after enjoying a few hours on the beach!
Huttoft beach is located on the East Coast of Lincolnshire, between Sandilands and Anderby Creek.
Huttoft beach is rare in that it is dog friendly all year round! So feel free to bring your pooch along rain or shine, and enjoy this beautiful stretch of coast together.
Huttoft beach is located in the beautiful town of Alford. If you're looking for something to do after spending some quality time on the beach, Alford is steeped in history. Enjoy a walk around the town centre and you’ll discover a plethora of historic landmarks including a Corn Exchange, Alford Windmill and Alford Manor House as well as a weekly market.
The pull for Huttoft beach is that you can park right up next to the sand! The beach has 200 spaces and parking fees apply from 10am to 5pm, from Good Friday to 31 October. Parking is free all year round for disabled badge holders.
As the car park is right next to the beach (and level with the sand), it makes it very accessible for wheelchair users. Just keep in mind the car park can get busy during peak season, so arrive early to ensure a spot.
