Celebrating over 300 years of history and nestled in the heart of Skegness, this historic treasure invites you to explore the simplicity and beauty of an era lost to time. The grounds of the museum transport you to a traditional farming village with authentic historic buildings lovingly restored to celebrate their past heritage. You can expect to find thatched cottages, a blacksmith’s forge, a schoolhouse, and a farm standing proudly and offering a glimpse into the lives of a past generation. The museum hosts events throughout the year, each bringing the village to life, tying together pieces of history from all corners of Lincolnshire. Some of their annual events include a Steampunk Weekend, summer pet shows, medieval re-enactments, Wild West-themed weekends, and music events. The Museum buildings are packed full of exhibits with artefacts and memorabilia, each offering a window into the past, dedicated to sharing the stories of the hardworking communities that went on to shape Lincolnshire’s rural identity. There is also a beautiful tearoom which offers refreshing drinks and snacks during your visit, stocked with seasonal produce grown on-site at the Orchard and Cottage Garden, two beautiful outdoor spaces that guests of the museum can enjoy. Entrance to The Village Church Farm Museum is by donation.
