This Blue Flag beach boasts golden sands accompanied by traditional seaside attractions such as donkey rides and arcades.
Mablethorpe's Blue Flag award-winning beach continues to be a popular destination for visitors wanting a traditional seaside escape. The golden sandy beach also often hosts events and activities such as donkey rides, sandcastle competitions, firework displays, and bike races. Mablethorpe has plenty of seaside amusements just steps away from the beach, making it a great choice for those seeking a day full of family fun.
Since 2019, Mablethorpe has also been home to the Time and Tide Bell - an impressive sculpture by Marcus Vergette which rings out across the coast as the waves of the rising tide nudge the structure.
If you decide to paddle during your visit, be aware that Mablethorpe's waters are known to house jellyfish, so be cautious if entering the water. There is a lifeguard service during the summer season, but still be sure to read our guide to beach safety and adhere to best safety practices.
Mablethorpe beach is located on the East Coast of Lincolnshire, between Sutton-on-Sea and Saltfleetby.
For those wanting to bring their four legged companion, the Southern side of the beach facing Sutton is generally quieter, and as such allows dogs all year round. The main central portion of beach is a dog-free zone from 1st May to 30th September.
Mablethorpe's beach is accompanied by a variety of seaside amusements such as arcades, a boating lake, crazy golf, funfair rides and of course plenty of seaside treats and takeaways. Just a short walk from the beach is the centre of Mablethorpe which has a vibrant high street full with places to eat, shop, and explore. Mablethorpe's RLNI Station is also located on the promenade, and you can browse their gift shop and learn more information about the RLNI and the lifeboats they use.
Seaview Car Park is located right next to the central entrance to the beach. There is also a 'Beach Train' which runs a shuttle from the North End Car Park which is near the Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary.
There are wheelchair access points for the beach, as well as hireable beach wheelchairs.
