Visiting Sutton-on-Sea beach

With a Blue Flag award-winning sandy beach, Sutton-on-Sea is ideal for those looking for a relaxing trip to the seaside. Much quieter than the nearby Mablethorpe beach, this popular shore can also be conveniently reached by regular buses from Skegness railway station.

Known for its colourful beach huts lining the sea front, this charming area is a great place for all the family. If you or your little ones want to take a dip during your visit, keep in mind that although a lifeguard service is in effect during the peak season, you should still be cautious by adhering to best safety practices, and read our guide to beach safety.

There is currently a multi-use pavilion being built, which will bring plenty of opportunities for visitors of all ages. They will be retaining the children's paddling pool, creating a gallery/exhibition room, making café and restaurant spaces, providing 15 day let beach huts and more!

The calmness of Sutton-on-Sea beach makes it ideal for dogs, however do keep in mind they are not permitted on the beach from the 1st May to 30th September and must be kept on lead in all nearby areas.

The village of Sutton-on-Sea is a popular place to retire by the sea thanks to its beautiful beach, variety of cafés, and independent shops - all worth exploring. A walk along the promenade will take you to the village of Trusthorpe to the North and Sandilands to the south, making it completely surrounded by the beauty of the natural coastline.

There are plenty of car parks, including Marine Avenue Car Park which is directly opposite the central entrance to the beach.
