After the success of 2025, the team behind the Mablethorpe Carnival have announced their dates for 2026. This year’s much-anticipated event is set to make its grand return on Saturday the 19th September 2026, with the theme Movie Legends.
Get ready for an action-packed day, with live entertainment, and the fantastic community spirit the local area is known for.
Also for this year Join us on the Red Bus Tour which includes :
Travel from Skellingthorpe Community Centre (LN6 5UU) to Mablethorpe aboard our charming vintage bus and enjoy a fun-packed day filled with entertainment, activities, and carnival excitement.
Entry to the spectacular Movie Legends Carnival
Travel on our vintage double-decker bus, which will take part in the carnival parade
A delicious two-course supper, with a choice of:
Fish & Chips or Carvery
Ice Cream Sundae for dessert
Entertainment and various activities throughout the day
A stunning fireworks display on the beach before we begin our journey home
Departing: 10:00am from Skellingthorpe Community Centre, LN6 5UU
Returning: 10:00pm from Mablethorpe

The parade starts at Queen’s Park in Mablethorpe. The planned route travels along Victoria Road, turns onto the High Street and continues along the promenade before returning to Queen’s Park.
The 2026 theme is Movie Legends. Participants can take inspiration from their favourite films, characters, monsters, actors or other movie icons when creating their costumes and displays.
Yes. Road closures and temporary parking restrictions will be in place for the parade, and the north car park at Queen’s Park will not be open that weekend. Visitors are advised to allow additional time for their journey, check the latest travel information and use alternative parking where necessary.
Yes. Mablethorpe Carnival is a community celebration enjoyed by residents and visitors, with family activities, creative stalls, entertainment, a colourful parade and fireworks planned throughout the day.
The fireworks display is expected to begin at approximately 7.30pm, once it is dark enough. The timing may be affected by weather or operational requirements, so visitors should check the organiser’s latest updates before attending.
