About This Event

A scenic event for runners of all abilities, this 10k traffic‑free race takes place along the beautiful Lincolnshire Coast, starting and finishing on the Mablethorpe promenade.

The flat, fast course follows the coastline throughout, offering uninterrupted beach and sea views for the entire distance, perfect for those chasing a personal best or simply looking to enjoy a relaxed run by the sea.

The event also proudly incorporates the Lincolnshire 10k Championships, attracting both competitive club runners and enthusiastic participants from across the county and beyond. With its smooth, level terrain and supportive atmosphere, it’s an ideal race for beginners, seasoned runners and everyone in between.

Is the course suitable for wheelchairs?

No, the organiser states the route is not suitable for wheelchairs because of a couple of sharp inclines/declines and some narrower sections along the promenade.

When do entries close and how much does it cost?

Entries close on the 7th September 2026. Entry fees are £22 for affiliated runners and £24 for unaffiliated runners.

Are there parking and toilets near the race?

Yes, public car parks and public toilets are within easy walking distance of the race area.

Is the Mablethorpe 10K route flat?

Yes, the East Coast Classic 10K is a mainly flat, traffic-free promenade route, making it appealing for both first-time 10K runners and those chasing a fast time.
