Soloby Cottages

Soloby Cottages offers a charming collection of three self-catering holiday retreats located four miles inland from the Lincolnshire Coast. Surrounded by expansive rural countryside, these cottages rest on the outskirts of the village of Saltfleetby. The cottages create an idyllic haven for guests to enjoy the peace of a rural country escape, whilst conveniently located to the coast's top attractions and seaside towns.

The cottages

The site comprises three single-storey barn conversions arranged around an enclosed gravel courtyard. Each cottage is tastefully furnished, offering a homely and comfortable retreat for visitors seeking a quintessential county getaway experience.

The Old Sweet Shop and Peardrop Cottage boast three bedrooms each and accommodate up to six guests in their spacious rooms, ideal for family getaways. The Peardrop cottage offers a spacious open-plan living area with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams.

The Cherry Pips cottage is a one-bedroom holiday home offering an intimate retreat for couples, accommodating a maximum of two guests.

Embracing a pet-friendly ethos, each cottage warmly welcomes furry companions with no additional charges.

The cottages are equipped with gas central heating throughout, a TV, a spacious open plan living room and fully equipped kitchens with oven, hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Each cottage has the use of a BBQ and charcoal is available to purchase on-site, there is a communal picnic area which can be used by all guests. There is a car park to the rear of the cottages which provides ample parking spaces for all guests.

Accessibility

The Old Sweet Shop cottage features ramped access and wider doors, meaning it may be suitable for those with limited mobility and accessibility needs. This cottage is the largest of the three and has a modern feel.

Beyond the cottages, the surrounding area offers miles of countryside to explore, with open farmland providing a picturesque backdrop for leisurely strolls, and bike rides in the outdoors. The cottages’ location allows guests to easily access the coast and popular seaside towns of Mablethorpe and Skegness, whilst maintaining a quiet rural escape.

For keen anglers, Saltfleetby Fisheries is located a mere stone’s throw from the cottages and provides daily bookable fishing pegs. The lakes have an on-site fishing shop for tackle and provide an enticing recreation activity for guests.
