About This Business

Natureland Seal Sanctuary is an internationally recognised centre for the rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned and injured seals on the coast of the North Sea. The centre also supports the conservation of marine life. The aim of the Natureland team is to treat and return seals to their natural habitat and provide a safe haven for these animals. Injured seal pups often get washed up on the beaches around Skegness, the dedicated team of staff and volunteers at the sanctuary rescue these seals and give them the support they need to be released back into the wild with a higher chance of survival. Visitors to the sanctuary can hear about the rescue work, experience the rehabilitation process, and learn about the challenges these creatures often face in the wild. At scheduled times throughout the day, visitors can also watch the seal feeding sessions and enjoy informative talks by the seal specialists. These talks provide fun insights into the seal's behaviours and the efforts needed to take care of them. By witnessing the remarkable work done by the rescue team to protect these marine animals, you can gain a greater appreciation for the beauty of our fragile marine ecosystem.

There is a lot more to the Natureland Sanctuary than just the seals, the sanctuary also cares for other marine animals such as penguins, sea turtles and other coastal wildlife. There is also a tropical butterfly exhibition, and other animals such as meerkats and alpacas. Families with young children will find delight in a dedicated play area and cafe offering refreshments and snacks. Your visit contributes to the preservation of these incredible animals, ensuring that future generations will continue to be able to enjoy Lincolnshire's marine life.
