Lincolnshire Wolds Railway

The Lincolnshire Wolds Railway is a visitor attraction and heritage railway situated in a beautiful part of the Lincolnshire countryside, between the Wolds and the Coast. Be transported back in time with an immersive ride on the steam train and learn all about the inner workings of these impressive pieces of machinery with a behind-the-scenes tour or hands-on experiences. The Lincolnshire Wolds railway operates on a stretch of line, originally used as part of the Lincolnshire rail route stretching from Boston in the south to Grimsby in the north of Lincolnshire. The trains currently run on a 1.75-mile stretch between Ludborough and North Thoresby. The railway is operated by volunteers who aim to preserve the history and maintain this section of the former railway. The Lincolnshire Wolds Railway offers visitors the unique opportunity to experience a nostalgic journey on vintage steam and diesel locomotives, perfect for family visits.
