About This Business

Sitting near the Sandilands Natural Trust site at the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park, The Huttoft Bank Pit is a large sea bank clay pit, excavated to repair the sea bank after floods in 1953. It now exists as a preservation site for wildlife. You can expect to see a large body of water hosting a range of wildlife throughout the year as the landscapes change. Highlight sightings at this reserve include Bittern, Short-eared owls, and snipe. This is a great area to visit during the winter months, and when combined with a coastal walk along the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park, provides a stunning space to see the natural side of the Lincolnshire coast.
