Lincolnshire Wolds & Coast Churches Festival

Visit over 100 historic churches and chapels located across the stunning landscapes of the Lincolnshire Wolds and Coast this September, with all buildings free entry.

Now in its sixth year, the event takes place on the first two weekends of September (6th & 7th and 13th & 14th) with around 50 churches taking part each weekend.

The festival offers something for everyone… rich architecture and heritage, beautiful tranquillity, vibrant exhibitions and music… as well as a welcoming oasis of peace. Many visitors tour several churches, with routes easy to plan by foot or bike, as well as car.

Numerous exciting activities are planned for 2025, from flower and art displays to exhibitions and guided tours.

Alternatively, for visitors who want to simply relax in a beautiful, spiritual building, there are many self-nominated ‘quiet’ churches that offer that experience.

And finally, lots of the churches have refreshments available to help nourish you on your visits, varying from tea, coffee and biscuits to local Lincolnshire treats.
