Situated in Croft, just 10 minutes from Skegness, The Old Chequers Inn is a quaint country pub overlooking a rural Lincolnshire landscape, promising hearty meals and a warm and cosy atmosphere. This listed building claims to be one of the oldest pubs in Lincolnshire and was originally used as a jail.
Overlooking the picturesque countryside, the Inn's location makes it a great spot to enjoy traditional pub food. In the cooler winter months, expect roaring log fires and a cosy retreat from the cool coastal air. The Inn has a wide selection of pub classics and homemade specials on its menu, much of which is made fresh with local Lincolnshire ingredients - the Grimsby Cod battered in Bateman's ale batter is a particular favourite. The kids menu gives the whole family something to eat, and the pub caters well to all visitors as efforts will be made to cater for any dietary requirements as best as possible.
The Inn is proud to stock Batemans beer. The pub is located just 2 miles from the Batemans Brewery Visitors Centre, and their guided tours often end with a carvery at The Old Chequers Inn. A range of Batemans beer is available on draught, including Yella Belly Gold, XB and Triple XB. The Inn also offers a varied wine list and spirits.
