A Message to Hotel/B&B and Self Catering Accommodation from East Lindsey District Council

A Message to Hotel/B&B and Self Catering Accommodation ahead of 4th July reopening

We are pleased that recent changes to the national guidance in relation to Covid 19 mean that Hotel/B&B and Self Catering Accommodation are able to reopen from July 4th, subject to being Covid Safe.

You will find a range of information to support you with this on our web page: https://www.e-lindsey.gov.uk/CVopeningforbusiness and it is important that you continue to refer to the Government Guidance for the sector to guide your Covid secure risk assessments and re-opening plans.

We recognise that there are instances where there are localised outbreak management requirements in place in other areas which recommend that people stay at home as much as they can, and advise against all but essential travel to, from and within those areas; in those instances there may be an impact on your sector for people who were planning to travel to the area.

We advise that you:

Continue to refer to Government guidance

Regularly check on the .gov website for areas subject to localised lockdowns

Review your risk assessments accordingly

Consider the steps you could take to support customers affected by local lockdown restrictions to rebook alternative dates.

We will keep our website updated with important information including details of any areas affected by localised lockdown requirements.

Current areas affected by localised lockdown:

From 29th June 2020 (to be reviewed 17th July 2020): Areas of Leicester City, Blaby, Charnwood, Oadby and Wigston
