Lincolnshire Coastal BID Levy Extension 2020/21

A message from our Chairman, Sid Dennis

Dear Levy Payer,

Important Information regarding your Lincolnshire Coastal BID Levy Payment

The recent spread of the COVID 19 virus has had an unprecedented impact on businesses operating within the BID area. The board of directors of the BID are therefore aware of the strains that businesses are operating under and wanted to try to provide some help.

You will be aware that at this time of year you would normally receive a request for payment for the BID Levy for the financial year April 2020 to March 2021. The collection of the levy is set by statue for the 5-year period of the BID and the annual amount collected cannot be altered within this period. In an attempt to try to provide support we have been able to negotiate a change in the payment terms, in that settlement of the bill would normally be demand by the end of the month in which the bill was issued. The alteration we have been able to facilitate will now mean that Invoices will be sent to you in mid-September 2020 and then due date would move to the end of September 2020.

The board of directors will continue to monitor the situation and will seek to act again, if possible, should circumstances deteriorate further. We do hope though, that this gesture will support you with your cashflow in the difficult period.

We can assure you that the BID will continue to operate and aims to focus our attention on how best to support Levy Payers with marketing, profile and guidance ready for the period when things start to improve. In addition, we want to ensure you get to hear about all of the fantastic things we are doing to benefit our beautiful coast. Please see over where you will find new contact details along with an opportunity to get more involved.

We do wish you all the very best in this period of uncertainty. Should any of the BID team be able to offer further help and support please don’t hesitate to contact a member of the team (details can be found on the reverse of this letter).

Yours Faithfully,

Sid Dennis

Chairman
