Welcome to the Donna Nook Maize Maze! A family run business, providing an exciting adventure suitable for everyone, including your beloved dogs. Located on the east coast of Lincolnshire, why not take a stroll around our 7 acre maze field, and bring a picnic to enjoy too!
Situated next to the beach at Donna Nook, we are often treated to spectacular overhead views of practicing fighter jets on the Air Weapons Range and even sometimes the Red Arrows, all adding to the excitement of your trip. Why not take a take a walk along the beach, turning your visit into a full day out?
There is a fun quiz to complete on the journey round, along with rest point areas for a quick sit down and a drink. We are able to cater for private party bookings on week nights for large groups, and welcome school groups in term time. Furthermore, throughout our maize season we hold a range of different events, including a torch light night, a Halloween themed weekend and even drive in movies.
Every year there are many stages of planning and preparation for our maize maze. Once the seed has been drilled in the field, the maze pattern is then designed on paper using lots of imagination, before being spray painted onto the maize and being cut-out by hand, using hoes. This stage is a very lengthy process, taking up to 3 weeks to complete!
We are open daily during the summer holidays and October half term, from 10.00 a.m. and last entry is at 4.00 p.m. Admission is £5.00 per person, with under 3’s and dogs free. Prices may differ on special events. When planning your visit please bear in mind we are an outside venue and dress accordingly. Don’t forget your sun protection and suitable footwear, such as trainers/walking boots or wellies, is strongly advised. There is a toilet (port-a-loo) on site, along with free parking for maze visitors.
Head to North Somercotes on the A1031 coast road, and follow the signs to RAF Donna Nook, where the maize maze is well signed.
