Millers Cottage at Claythorpe

Welcome to our gorgeous, riverside holiday cottage in the grounds of Claythorpe Watermill and Wildfowl Gardens.

The cottage stands right on the riverside, adjacent to the watermill with its fabulous on-site café, and sleeps four comfortably in its two bedrooms. The grounds of the mill are open to the public from 10am to 5pm from March to October. Outside of public opening hours, you have the grounds to yourself.

The private patio leads directly onto the wildfowl garden, where ducks, storks and exotic birds wander freely. The meerkat enclosure is right there (you can watch them from your bedroom window) and it’s a joy to sit with a glass of wine and watch the birds settle for the night as the sun goes down. Upstairs are two bedrooms and shower room. Bedroom one has a king-size double, while bedroom two has twin 3-foot single beds. Both bedrooms include goose feather and down duvets and pillows, hotel-quality bed linen, a flat screen TV (with an integrated DVD player in bedroom two) DAB clock radios and full-size wardrobes. The shower room has loo, basin and a large (1.2m) built-in shower cubicle with electric shower.
