Gayton Engine Pumping Station
Take this opportunity to visit the Gayton Engine Pumping Station housed in a Victorian building, used to pump flood water from the marshes for well over 100 years. Also see the 1933 two stroke diesel engine and Gwynne's pump in operation.
A small museum within the building with articles of interest to land drainage has been prepared but further exhibits are welcome. Volunteers to join the small band of supporters are very welcome.
Free entry, donations appreciated towards running costs.
